About Department

Keeping in view vast demand of Chemical Engineers, our Institute had started the branch of Chemical Engineering from its beginning. The Chemical Engineers have wide openings in all Chemical Processing Units, all the private and government chemical laboratories, DRCO, Ship Demolitation Agencies, Power Generation Plants, Flood Processing Units and in various research units. There are number of Government enterprises, Public sectors, Government Undertakings & Private sectors which are furnishing infrastructure for the Chemical Engineers to achieve their career heights and above all there is enormous demand of private Chemical Engineers abroad.

Looking towards the fast growing technology, we have equipped our Chemical Engineering Department with all latest Laboratory equipments. The department has well qualified, Devoted Staff members providing maximum practical exposure to the students. This department has formed Academy of Chemical Engineers 'ACE' for the students to keep interaction with the industries, arranging Seminars, Group Discussions and various activities to develop their overall personality.

There is a team of total Ten faculty members (08+02 adjunct faculty from Industry), two of whom are Ph.Ds. and rest master degree holders. All of them have teaching, research and industrial experience of many years. The department has a good number of publications in various national and international journals.

Today many of our distinguished alumni are holding respectable positions in reputed national and multinational industries. We are proud to have our students complete their Ph.D. form the institute like IISc Bangalore, CSIR Bhavnagar, ICT Mumbai and from IIT’s. Some of our alumni have set up their own entrepreneurship in India and many others are settled abroad.
