Research Policy

Sponsorship for Student to Attend International Events outside India

This funding will be available to 10 bonafied students, one from each department on first come first basis, Gathering Secretary, Best Student and highest scorer boy & girl. This funding will be available for sponsoring students for presenting papers at International Conferences, Technical Symposium, International seminars, workshops, or any other events related to Research and Academic development organized outside India. The funding will be to the tune of actual expenses or maximum of Rs.40000 per students, which include Traveling and boarding expenses, Registration fees etc. The allotment of fund amount is subjected to the production of bills and tickets. Student will be eligible to get this fund only once in A duration of course. Department will forward all such cases to the principal. The sanctioning and the issue of advance payment will be on first came first serve basis. Application received first for advance along with selection and acceptance of Paper for oral or poster presentation will be considered first irrespective of the date of the event. In case of tie, seniority will be given the first preference, then their last year score All bonafied students are eligible to receive grant in this scheme. In case of absence of any claim from the assigned department's students, the other department's students can be considered for the grant in order to promote the students internationally.


Sponsorship for Paper Presentation and Project Competition in India

This funding will be available to all the 50% of final year's students, 30% third year students and 20% second year students. (Max 400 students). This funding will be available for sponsoring students for presenting papers at national or international conferences, technical symposium, student conferences, project competitions, technical sessions and any other event related to the academic development. The funding will be on first came first serve basis and will be to the tune of actual expenses or maximum Rs. 500 per student, which include TA, DA, Registration fees etc. The allotment of fund amount is subjected to the production of bills and tickets This fund can be availed only once in an academic year. If the student excels and secure first prize/position he will be eligible to receive grant of Rs. 2000 covering all the expenses. Students who secure second position will get Rs. 1500/-and third position will get Rs. 1000/-The grant amount includes TA, DA and Registration expenses. This grant will be provided to Maximum 50 students on first come first serve basis. Department will forward all such cases along with the bills and participation certificate, at the end of every month on first come first basis to the principal. If the no. of students in the given month exceeds the sanction strength for grant, the preference should be given as mentioned: fresh students who had not availed facility in earlier years, then the date of event, then level of event such as International, National, state, university, district, etc. then his score in last year exam should be considered.


Funding for Projects of Final year and Third year Students

All the students of final year and third year are eligible to receive a funding of maximum Rs. 750 per student for their project purpose. This funding will be granted to the group of minimum 03 (three) students working under guide decided by the department. This funding will be given for development of any equipment, instrument, New technology items, testing software, fees for samples from recognized Research labs, consumables for experiments, purchase of various components for project, hard ware for various circuits, and all such items for requirement of project etc. This fund will not be provided for purchase of readymade projects available in markets. (department should have strict control on such activity) This funding will be provided for new research and not for duplication of any work going on elsewhere. This funding will not be provided for traveling expenses or printing of project book or Xeroxing of papers for journals etc. All guides should use this fund for development of new and innovative ideas. It is compulsion to every students and guide that after completion of the said project a research paper has to be kept ready for publication on the said project The equipment or instrument developed should or software developed should be useful for additional practices for undergraduate or even for post graduate studies. The Department should identify thrust areas for their department and all such projects should be the part of the thrust Research area and accordingly submit the requirement of project expenses and advances for purchase on or before 31st of July of every session.


Sponsorship for Faculty Members to Present Research Work/Papers in International Events

This funding will be available to 06 approved staff one for each department, on first come first basis. Only six departmental approved staff is eligible for this facility. This funding will be available for sponsoring staff for presenting papers at international conferences, Technical symposiums Chairing Technical sessions, for attending International seminars, workshop, sophisticated training or any other event related to Research and academic development organized outside India. The funding will be to the tune of actual expenses or maximum of Rs. 60000 per staff, including TA, DA, and Registration etc. The allotment of fund amount is subjected to the production of bills and tickets. Staff is eligible to get this funding once in an academic year for single event. Staff is eligible to get this funding only once in an academic year. Department will forward all such cases to the principal. The sanctioning and the issue of advance payment will be on first come first basis Application received first for advance along with selection and acceptance of paper for oral or poster presentation will be considered first irrespective of the date of the event. Every year fresh staff that had not availed this facility earlier should be given preference. In case of tie, seniority will be given the preference. In the absence of fresh staff application, another staff will be considered for funding. Only approved staff members who completed 2 years of service in the institute are eligible to receive grant in this scheme. Staff should apply for the event of same academic session. Department should extend this facility to all staff in circulation.


Sponsorship for Faculty Members for National / International Events in India

This funding will be available to all the 33.33% of total staff of the institute This funding will be available for sponsoring staff for presenting papers at national or international conferences, Technical symposium, Technical sessions, Seminars, Workshops, STTPS, paper publication fees in Journals or any other events related to research and academic development. The funding will be to the tune of actual expense or maximum Rs. 5000 per staffs which include TA, DA, Registration fees etc. The allotment of fund amount is subjected to the production of bills and tickets. Staff can avail this fund twice in an academic year for any two events however; the total expenditure for both the event should not exceed the amount Rs. 5000 per year. Department will forward all such cases along with the bills and participation certificate, at the end every month on first come first basis and no advances will be given for such sponsorship. Department should give priority to the approved staff on first come first basis. Department should try to extend this facility in circulation, so that every approved staff should get benefit of the scheme within a period of three years. Department should maintain proportion of regular and ad hoc staff for availing the scheme.


Sponsorship for Non-Teaching Staff

This funding will be available to all the 10% of Non Teaching staff. (max 10 staff) (1/ branches, 2 from first year and 1 from library and 1 from office and accounts) This funding will be available for sponsoring staff for training, seminars, workshops, STTPS, industrial training etc related to academic and skill development. The funding will be to the tune of actual expense or maximum of Rs.3000 per staff, which include TA, DA, Registration fees etc. The allotment of fund amount is subjected to the production of bills and tickets. Staff is eligible to get this funding once in an academic year. Department will forward all such eases along with the bills and participation certificate on first come first serve basis and no advances will be given for such sponsorship. Department should give priority to senior staff member. Department should extend this facility to all the staff members in circulation.


Funding for Departments

The department should identify thrust areas for their Branch and use this funding for projects in such areas submit the proposal and requirement of project expenses within 31st of August of every session. This funding will be given for development of any equipment, instrument, New technology items, testing software, fees for samples from recognized Research labs, consumables for experiments, purchase of various components for project, hard ware for various circuits, and all such items for requirement of project etc. This funding will be provided for such project, where one staff will be the principal investigator and other staff will be the project scholars. This funding will be available for publication of research papers in journals on the same research outcome. It is compulsion to every Department that after completion of the said project a research paper has to be kept ready for publication on the said project. The equipment/ instrument developed or software developed should be useful for additional practices for undergraduate or even for post graduate studies. The fund can be utilized to develop a laboratory equipment or software useful for testing and consultancy purpose. This fund can be utilized to purchase a small equipment / software, available in the market as a part of the main project. Department should even use the funding of final and third year students to make a project and utilize the students in group for the work. Principal investigator should be from the approved staff member only. Principal investigator should submit detail proposal for sanctioning, with a clear indication of application or research, its usefulness for testing and consultancy.
